Amid the annual complaints about Russia 'weaponizing WW2 history' with its Victory Day parades from Anglosphere and Eastern European media outlets, ESW Eurasia Editor Stanislav Krapivnik dishes the truth about the Great Patriotic War (WW2). A global conflict in which more Kazakhs died than Americans, and in which 80% of European Axis casualties came at the hands of the Russians--Nazi German, Italian, Hungarian, Romanian, Spanish Blue Division fascist volunteers, SS French, Belgian, and Scandinavian troops.

On the USSR side, in addition to all of the Soviet Republics, Stas remembers the millions of Chinese and Mongolian soldiers/partisans who fought alongside the Russians, helping the Red Army rout Imperialist Japan's million-man Kwantung Army. By rolling across Manchuria in August 1945, the Red Army ultimately saved an incalculable number of American lives that would have been lost in an invasion of Japan.

Stanislav also ripped the unhinged ravings of retired SACEUR Gen. Ben Hodges that the Moscow Victory Day Parade with 29 world leaders and thousands of civilians present was a valid military target for Ukrainian missile and drone strikes.
