With the trade war with China in the spotlight and Chinese military tech also flexing this week in the contested skies over the line of contact (LOC) between India and Pakistan, we thought reposting our friend Matthew Ehret's May 5, 2025 webcast on Xi Jinping would be timely. As usual Matthew's conversational co host was Gordon "Ghost" McCormick, from Badlands Media.

This week, I was invited to be a guest on Gordon’s Monday night ‘Book of Trump’ show in order to shed light on Xi Jinping as a man, a leader, a revolutionary and a modern philosopher king. Gordon and I addressed such questions as:
What has shaped his identity?
What challenges did he overcome?
What was the Cultural Revolution all about?
How did the Gang of Four get taken down?
What is the Shanghai Clique and broader Deep State of China?
What is going on within the CCP and is it possible that the exact same agency which sought to destroy China, Russia, India and the USA during the 19th century is still doing the same thing over a century later?
